illuminati hotties share rumbling new single “Truck” ahead of summer tour

Since the release of 2021’s critically acclaimed Let Me Do One More, illuminati hotties architect Sarah Tudzin has been very busy working with other artists and planning out the way for her band’s next collection of songs. She co-produced the new boygenius album, worked on Eliza McLamb’s debut EP, Salt Circle, and has left her trademark imprint on The Armed’s upcoming album, Perfect Saviors — as well as producing “Ride the Vibe”, a new single from Dim Wizard and Jeff Rosenstock.

There are rumblings and rumors floating around that she is now finishing the work on the sequel to Let Me Do One More, but no details have yet been shared. What we do have is a new song called “Truck”, and it comes on the eve of her performance at the Pitchfork Music Festival and an upcoming tour with boygenius. With allusions to open roads and drivebelt companions, the song mixes gentle guitar theatrics and Tudzin’s airy intensity, occupying a landscape of automotive reveries and emotionally serpentine revelations.

If mortality is a jolting, jagged highway exit, then heaven is a truck as it rumbles through the unknown,” explains Tudzin. “‘Truck’ is a gentle affirmation that the dream can change at no deficit of dignity. For Tim.

Listen to the song below and check out her upcoming tour dates.
