Godspeed You! Black Emperor announce U.K. dates, Stateside tour info to come


Godspeed You! Black Emperor, who recently ended their long time hiatus and are set to curate and perform across the pond at ATP Nightmare Before Christmas 2010, which oddly enough may include a performance by Weird Al Yankovic.

The outfit announced in a mysterious open letter posted on their website that they would be playing a small handful of shows including nine in the U.S. Although the dates for the American shows have not yet been released, the band has announced the all the details for the U.K. tour stops which are sure to be monumental soul shattering performances. Expect the dates for the U.S. leg of the tour in the very near future.

Godspeed You! Black Emperor’s U.K. dates are as follows:

12/03-12/05. Minehead, England – ATP Nightmare Before Christmas
12/07. Manchester, England – Academy
12/08. Glasgow, Scotland – Barrowlands
12/12. Bristol, England – Ansom Rooms
12/13. London, England – Troxy

This small batch of undoubtedly epic and awe inspiring performances by this Montreal based post-rock ensemble will certainly sell out quickly. And as the band also states in that mysterious letter that they will not be fielding any other offers, so expect these to be their only shows for a while.
