Frankie Rose shares the empathetic synth bop “Anything”, from her new album

Frankie Rose has announced her first original album in almost six years: it’s called Love As Projection and will arrive on March 10 through Night School / Slumberland. She says:

“This album is about having to focus our collective energies on the small things around that we can control to find joy. A distraction from the the larger systemic problems that feel so overwhelming and are so very out of our collective hands… for now…”

The first song to be shared from it is “Anything”, a percolating synth bop that acts like Rose putting your hand on the shoulder and telling you that you’re doing fine. Through crystalline production and dynamic melodies, Rose delivers her sage viewpoint in a way that makes the weight of your problems feel lightweight, manageable and universal. It’s a tonic for 2023.
