feeble little horse attack emotional manipulators on the fuzzy “Tin Man”, announce new album

Pittsburgh noise poppers feeble little horse will release a new album called Girl With Fish on June 9 through Saddle Creek. They have shared the first single from the album, “Tin Man”, with vocalist Lydia Slocum explaining:

“The song is about people who use sadness to control your actions because they know you will sympathize- oftentimes when these people are investigated there really is not much inside them, they just use emotions to get what they want out of other people. I have my qualms with this sort of person.”

“Tin Man” starts with feeble little horse feeling like they’re almost being stalked by someone’s sadness, as their “penny eyes / pouting like a dog” follows them around all day long. The band then unleashes its casual fuzz attack as it enters the chorus, where Slocum continues to cut away at this manipulative emoter: “I found you / rusted and leaky / took him apart / and I found nobody.” As the band sidewinds into the second verse, replete with tactile sounds, she doesn’t get any nicer: “all your words / are shiny stolen things”. feeble little horse have no vices about letting these kinds of people have a dose of harsh truth though, and “Tin Man” carries the swagger of someone who’s just got something off their chest they’ve been wanting to say for a long time.
