Still riding high off the success of her album Desire, I Want To Turn Into You, which is approaching its first birthday next week, Caroline Polachek is spoiling us with a deluxe version due on 14 February. It features a new version of “Butterfly Net” that happens to be a duet with Natalie Mering aka Weyes Blood, with whom Polachek has sung the song on stage numerous times.
The new version of the song also re-upholsters the arrangement, making it more new-agey and spacious, with goings and whispering synths fluttering around the two women’s powerhouse vocals.
Luckily we don’t have to wait for the deluxe version of Desire to hear it.
