Bec Lauder & The Noise unveil summer anthem “Bent Up”

Edgy NYC trio Bec Lauder & The Noise are the first act signed to the new label Killphonic. The group’s new single “Bent Up” is retro and rhythmic, with an ultra-catchy chorus that’s a rousing summer anthem. It’s a teaser for the trio’s new album The Vessel, which sets sail on September 12.

Even though Lauder is a successful model who gets coverage in Women’s Wear Daily and other industry pubs, The Noise isn’t a vanity project. This trio can really cook, with Maggie Bishop on drums, Soph Shreds on guitar/bass and Lauder on lead vocals/guitar/bass.

“‘Bent Up’ is a special song because it’s the first song the band exclusively and completely wrote and produced ourselves,” Lauder explains. “I came up with a little diddle in band practice and we all just ran with it for a moment. I recorded our improv and what we played in that moment became the song. We recorded it live and decorated it like a cake together. The overarching feelings we were playing with were mainly rooted in feelings of desire in a defiant and cheeky way inspired by my ever-evolving and unsuccessful dating life.”
