Even before the release of his debut LP The Arsonist out March 19th via Sky Council Recordings, Boston-based producer André Obin has amassed quite a number of EP’s and singles on labels like Ghostly International, Moodgadget, and Klopfgeist. Splicing together proto-dance floor synths and ghostly vocals, Obin’s music was quickly noticed by other artists, and he was soon tapped by bands like M83 and Washed Out to open for them on tour. He get our first taste of his debut full-length with the title track “The Arsonist.” Washing thudding, bass synths with gauzy vocals and piling it on top of a throbbing, insistent beat, Obin snakes his way into your head and your hips and refuses to let go of either. Listen to “The Arsonist” below.
