Exciting news for fans of Chicago’s biggest music festival, the full Lollapalooza lineup has been announced. As often happens, many of the acts featured overlap with the summer’s other major festivals, grounded largely in last year’s acclaimed acts or nostalgia shows.
Artists much in the now include The Weekend, Jack White, M83, Washed Out, The Walkmen, Bear in Heaven, Polica, and many more. On the side closer to yesteryear are bands such as Red Hot Chili Peppers, Metallica, and the reformed At the Drive-In.
As with last year, Lolla’s mixture of rock, electronic, and hip hop has only grown more varied, with other exciting acts such as Bloc Party, Justice, and Frank Ocean making for a combination that may help set Lolla set itself apart, somewhat, from the relative sameness of this year’s major festivals.
