It’s been nine years since we last heard Godspeed You! Black Emperor on record doing their apocalyptic doom-heralding narrative post-rock thing on the Steve Albini produced Yanqui UXO. GY!BE reunited last year for an All Tomorrow’s Parties appearance and have been touring since.
In a recent interview with Montreal magazine Voir (via Hour), drummer Bruce Cawden revealed the group would be recording new material in the near future. No more details until the band meets to discuss the project after their UK tour in July. Check out upcoming Godspeed dates here.
