If you thought that maybe the recent announcement that EMI will be reissuing the bulk of The Smashing Pumpkins’ back catalogue had perhaps made Billy Corgan nostalgic for days past, then think again; he recently announced that he never plans to reform the original lineup.
It’s possibly because he’s too busy with The Smashing Pumpkins’ current release, Teagarden By Kaleidyscope; a 44-song album that’s being released little by little. The most recent is “Owata,” the 12th in the series, which is pretty slow going considering this project started two years ago. However, “Owata” comes as a precursor to Oceania, a full album that comes within the Teagarden By Kaleidyscope mega album.
Check out “Owata” below to get some clues as to what we may hear on Oceania.
