Since she came storming into our lives a few weeks ago with “California,” EMA (né Erika M. Anderson) has become a firm favourite here at One Thirty BPM. Her debut album Past Life Martyred Saints doesn’t drop until May 10th but here we have something else to keep your attention grasped. “Soul On Fire” is a cover of New Jersey rockers Danzig and just as she proved capable of packing a punch on “California” (and does consistently across her debut) she does so here, taking the song and moulding it to her own will.
