Wild Beasts announce new album

One of the most talented and relatively overlooked bands in modern alternative music has announced their return. Wild Beasts will release Smother, the follow-up to their fantastic Two Dancers, on May 9th through Domino. The short announcement on their official website tells us that “Smother was recorded in late 2010 in a remote part of North Wales, and was co-produced by Wild Beasts and long term collaborator Richard Formby.”

Along with the announcement came this trailer, which in twenty tantalising seconds tells us that the Beasts have continued down the same path as their previous album, with exemplary percussion and delicate melodies.
