Last week an unfounded – but nevertheless exciting – rumour that Kate Bush is set to release some new music this year found its way around the music blogosphere.
Today NME, with all their contacts and whatnot, managed to get in contact with Kate Bush’s spokesperson who, surprisingly, confirmed that the rumour is somewhat true. Her spokesperson said that it is not yet confirmed, and there is a chance that anything that is released will not amount to a full album to follow up 2005’s Aerial but the intention is there on Bush’s part to record something new.
So even if we get a one-off like we did in 2007 with “Lyra,” it is good to know that one of the most influential and recognisable voices in music is not yet done.
