Hot on the heels of the announcement of a new album, The King Is Dead, The Decemberists’ sixth, due in January they have unveiled the first two months’ worth of a tour that will eventually encircle the globe.
The tour kicks off in January at New York’s Beacon Theatre before sweeping across North America through February and heading to Europe for March. The full dates are below.

A presale has begun on some North American dates here.
Europeans will be able to buy tickets from a presale starting on November 17th, or when they go on general sale on the 19th.
The King Is Dead will be released by Rough Trade on January 17th/18th (Europe/North America) and you can pre-order it from next monday.
