CARR dishes out the truth on the piercingly catchy “Kiss Me When I’m Dead”

CARR deals in music riff-heavy pop that’s as likely to slice to the quick as get your head nodding.

Her latest single, “Kiss When I’m Dead” is a proper gut punch to any among us who’ve been in our feelings over that friend who truly wants nothing more than that. “It’s not my fault that you’re not my type / It’s all your fault that you’re insecure,” she sings bluntly over propelling drums and delightfully scorching guitar, sounding more than tired of all the unnecessary, unasked for drama.

Speaking on the track, she shares, “‘Kiss Me When I’m Dead’ is about people that think they have a chance with you, but you’re just not interested. Specifically this guy friend that was trying really hard to get with me, and it was so clear that I wasn’t interested in him. It’s kind of like a ‘give it up’ moment. I did like him as a person and friend, I thought he was great, but I didn’t want anything more.

Check it out below, and look out for her rapidly approaching sophomore EP, I’m just Bored, due October 29th via Pack Records.
