Marissa Nadler has always seemed to me to be the kind of artist who toils away tirelessly at her music and, although she gets plenty of love, doesn’t quite get as much as she deserves. This changed last year when she released Marissa Nadler, which finally seemed to be something of a breakthrough, garnering love from fans new and old and critics.
This new found success hasn’t cut her work rate though, since Nadler has today revealed she will be releasing a new album this May, less than a year on from Marissa Nadler. The new album is titled The Sister, since it is like a sister to her previous album, containing eight songs with some links to the songs on the self titled record.
You can watch the teaser trailer for the video for The Sister below. Look out for the album on May 29th when Nadler’s own Box Of Cedar Records will put it out.
