Today marks the American release of Field Music’s fourth album to date, titled Plumb and put out by Memphis Industries. The album sees the brothers Brewis abandoning traditional pop songwriting techniques without sacrificing any of the emotional weight or pure melodic bliss that comes with such conventions. This can be heard in the orchestral charms, driving percussion, and piano flares of “From Hide And Seek To Heartache,” which we are proud to premiere as an MP3 download below.
Should this tune pique your interest, the full album of Plumb is being streamed by NPR right here and the album is available to purchase through the traditional outlets. For now, enjoy “From Hide And Seek To Heartache” below, a bittersweet Valentine from Field Music and Beats Per Minute.
