I’m not afraid to admit it: I like Jenny and Johnny’s delightful pop-rock album I’m Having Fun Now. For a couple making music together, the record is surprisingly filled with anxiety, bitterness, betrayal, and all the other good stuff that makes love fun.
The video for “Big Wave” captures the feeling of the album perfectly. There is romance as the couple, Jenny Lewis and Johnathan Rice, dance on their car, get married, smooch and hang out. But there are snakes, sinking in water, bloody writing and Lewis possibly at her own funeral. The whole thing is stunning to watch. Check it out below.
