A month on from making an unheralded return with “Send Me”, the inscrutable Tirzah has done it to us again: she’s just dropped a new song called “Sink In”.
Clearly not wanting to colour people’s experience of the new song, she provides no background – she simply wants us to “Sink In” to the feeling. Working once again with Mica Levi and Coby Sey, the trio’s lightness of touch – a metronomic synth, minimal drums – play into Tirzah’s power. “Sink In” is a song of pure love and dedication, Tirzah’s rich yet restrained voice letting resonate with the depth of her connection. In “Sink In”, she’s asking us to slow down and spend time with her – just to feel it.
The video for “Sink In” was created by Leah Walker, whilst the choreography and performance is by Lewis Walker and Tylor Deyn. Watch it below or listen to the song on streaming platforms.
