Icelandic label Bedroom Community continue to offer intense and unique material at an alarmingly regular rate. Their recent release Fountain by Lyra Pramuk should already be high in your album lists of 2020, and today they announce an album and video premiere from Russian duo 404.zero, new signings to the label.
404.zero are media artists Kristina Karpysheva and Alexander Letsius and they play with soundscapes, ambience and aural textures in their songs, which are accompanied by preternatural and mesmeric images. Abrasive yet lush, haunting yet optimistic, “404_1” conjures up ideas of the hypnopompic state, where hallucinations occur in the fleeting moment before being fully awake.

The recording sessions took place at Greenhouse Studio in Reykjavik where Brian Eno, Sigur Rós and Björk have previously recorded. 404.zero’s album entitled 404.0 is planned for release through Bedroom Community on June 5.
