Just like Dua Lipa headlining Glastonbury, London-based pop singer Rose Gray’s latest release “Free” feels like a coronation. On this track, she transcends all the categories like club, trance and techno to deliver one of the finest performances on a club-ready pop track since Ray Of Light-era Madonna.
“‘Free’ embodies the feeling of pure bliss,” says Gray. “To me, this song sounds like falling in love for the first time on a European beach, with a boombox and an ice-cold drink.”
Gray’s career gained momentum after collabs with leading DJs and prodcuers. She paired with TSHA on the sizzling “Girls” and with Kungs on “Afraid Of Nothing” – the latter having reached the million-streams mark. Last year’s solo outing “Happiness” was a retro gem that brought that emotion to dancefloors worldwide.
This artist’s future is anything but gray. Rose has the talent and star qualities to be the Tove Lo of tomorrow.
