Ron Wood confirms Faces reunion, says Flea might join the band on tour

There have been a lot of rumors about a Faces reunion for many years but it seems like things are finally going to happen now. All the original band members, except for the deceased Ronnie Lane, have rehearsed together and guitarist Ron Wood told Rolling Stone, “It’s like no time has passed by…we’re ready to go”. He also revealed that there’s a possibility of a studio album.

The band plans to tour during 2009 but so far no dates have been revealed, Wood says that “we just have to sort out when and where and drop all of the management egos and just do what we can. We know we can do it. It’s just a matter of getting everyone’s availability sometime next year”. They also have to find a bass player for the tour, to stand in for the late Ronnie Lane. Stewart’s touring bassist
Conrad Korsch were part of the rehearsals but according to Wood there’s several bassists interested, including Red Hot Chili Peppers’ bassist Flea. The Chili Peppers are on a hiatus at the moment so it’s not impossible, but we’ll surely get more information as it develops.
