Robyn details new album and drops off duo of tracks “Talk To Me” and “Sexistential”

Robyn has confirmed that her new album is called Sexistential and will be released on 27 March through Young. She has been teasing the record since releasing “Dopamine” last year (one of BPM’s Top 50 Songs of 2025) and has now delivered another pair of pop pearls, “Talk To Me” and the album’s title track.

The Swedish star describes her ninth album as being “like a spaceship coming through the atmosphere at a really high speed and crash landing”.

That’s how I felt, like I’d had all these experiences searching too far out into space, and now I’m crashing back into myself,” she adds.

As suggested by the title, the album thematically revolves around emotional and biological pleasure. “Exploring my sensual life is the same feeling as when I make a good song,” Robyn explains. “It’s such a beautiful kind of sensitive vibration that takes so much work to keep afloat. I feel like the purpose of my life is to stay horny – it doesn’t even have to be about sex, but it’s feeling sensual and attracted to things that I enjoy, and not letting anything take over that.”

The two new tracks offer different sides of Robyn’s Sexistentialism. “Talk To Me” is a classi straight-up pop banger, harkening back to “Every Heartbeat”-era immediacy and danceability, with just the right amount of vulnerability and a whole load of vocal and melodic sweetness. “Sexistential”, on the other hand, is more off-kilter track that is reminiscent of the more experimental cuts from the Body Talk era, with a conversational tone full of humour encased in a creatively cut-together funky house sound world.
