Mysterious cinematic synth-pop purveyors Desire continue to keep us in the dark as to when exactly we can expect the new album Escape (this summer is all we know), but they also keep treating us to new singles from it. Coming today is “Cold As Ice”, the fifth shared in 2020.
“Cold As Ice” is a slick pop track with rampant synths jumping up between Megan Louise’s admissions of attraction and disappointment, while crystalline synths glisten all around her deceitful delivery. Desire once again show their prodigious talent for making something that sounds simple but has been tweaked to its utmost with precision production that makes everything sparkle and boom crisply.
