It’s official: Jay-Z’s Blueprint 3 will be released September 11th on Roc Nation/Atlantic.
That’s right, according to Billboard The Blueprint 3 will be released in commemoration of the 8-year anniversary of the original Blueprint‘s release (yep, oddly enough The Blueprint was released on September 11th, 2001). The album will be released on Jay-Z’s own Roc Nation imprint, with distribution by Atlantic.
Last month, Jay-Z paid $5 million to terminate his contract with Def Jam. Now Atlantic has outbid competing label Sony for the rights to distribute the record.
Keep your eyes peeled for the official Blueprint 3 announcement at New York City radio station Hot 97’s annual Summer Jam concert at Giants Stadium on Sunday.
