The Berlin-based Finnish duo Amnesia Scanner have today announced their second album, Tearless, which is set to come out on June 5 through PAN. Along with those details they’ve shared a new track called “AS Going”, which features LYZZA.
Amnesia Scanner’s knack for unusual rhythms remains intact on “Going”, while icy synths freeze, melt and drip all around. The Brazilian LYZZA’s vocals hopscotch between all these elements, with the words themselves not being too obvious but the delivery full of emotion, which is warped and glitched by AS as she picks her way through this booming and overrun soundscape. The overall result is an epic and thunderous return for Ville Haimala and Martti Kalliala – even if the ultimate feeling is doom.
Amnesia Scanner’s Tearless is out on June 5 via PAN.
