Never known as a talkative band, Sigur Rós have just posted a mysterious video on their website. It seems to be a trailer for a new concert film entitled INNI. Now, it’s been a long time since Sigur Rós toured; I mean Jónsi has released a solo album and toured the world since we last saw them play.
But, judging from the trailer and past expereince (Heima) the reason it’s taken so long to be released is because of the sheer amount of time that’s gone into making this film (possibly shot entirely in monochrome – at least the trailer is entirely that way) a stunning work. If this video comes anywhere near the lofty heights of Heima then this is certainly something to get very excited about.
We don’t have a date yet, but watch the trailer below.
