He must’ve been riding the high latent from last year’s superb Only Built 4 Cuban Linx… Pt. II (One Thirty BPM review), because some time ago, Raekwon spoke of intentions to release not one, but two, albums in 2010. Since then, not much news has surfaced regarding the exciting prospect.
Until Rae tweeted about a collaboration with a certain MC – Eminem. This won’t mark Slim’s first collaboration with a Wu member (he’s worked with RZA and Method Man), but it will be the first time Rae spits with him. That in itself is pretty awesome.
Aside from this, Rae confirmed a Nas collab – good news for all the hip hop heads who were let down when Nasty didn’t arrive on Pt. II – collaborations between the two had been relatively common in the past.
So there you have it: Nas and Eminem, two of the most gifted MCs doing it today, if not ever, will guest on Raekwon’s next record. If you can’t find something to like there, go sit in a corner somewhere.
