San Miguel Primavera Sound 2012, as it is formally called, keeps getting better with each round of additions, and the newest one has sent our brain into overload. Two reuniting acts will visit the festival, held from May 30th-June 3rd, in the form of Mazzy Star and The Afghan Whigs. This joins previously announced acts ranging from Bjork to Wilco to Death Cab For Cutie to Jeff Mangum to the xx to Beach House to Spiritualized… you get the idea.
Also joining the party, and probably in a very late-night fashion, will be French electronic party-starters Justice, as well as fellow electronic leaning acts Grimes and AraabMUZIK. In the folky realm, A.A. Bondy and Buffy Sainte-Marie are also now scheduled to make an appearance.
And, then we have the harder-hitting rock, which is now bolstered with some of the best acts in the genre. Scheduled to represent metal and hardcore are Mayhem, Napalm Death, Wolves In The Throne Room, Sleep, Liturgy, Melvins, Harvey Milk, and Orthodox. Yeah, get ready to rock.
Tickets for the event can be purchased here.
