The ever so prolific Damon Albarn has confirmed that there is a new Gorillaz album in the works titled Plastic Beach. The new album is supposedly the “most pop record” Albarn’s ever made with guest appearances from Lou Reed, Snoop Dogg, Barry Gibb, Bobby Womack, The Horrors and Mos Def. Not much is known regarding a release date except Albarn says Plastic Beach is “nearly finished.”
Not only that, but a new band featuring Flea, Tony Allen and Albarn has nearly completed their first album as well. Hopefully, we can get two new albums from Albarn in 2010. Now how about some Blur US reunion dates?
