If I were a betting man (I’m not) and there was a place where you could actually bet on music artist’s chances of succeeding (God, I hope there isn’t), Electric Guest might be as safe as a bet that you could place on a new artist. For one thing, they got Danger Mouse to produce their debut album. In addition, every song we have heard from them in advance of their debut album has been some form of good, with widespread appeal seeming likely. And, they are from L.A., so, you know, we like to bet on our local acts.

As of today, we have a date for when the possible Electric Guest explosion will begin: April 24th. The album (one of our most anticipated of the year) is titled Mondo and will see release on Downtown Records. Before you get confused, know that the image above is not the album art, but, rather, the single art for “This Head I Hold,” which will see release on January 24th.
