
The Pixies: Four nighter
- Boston rock act The Pixies have announced the support for their upcoming four night residency at the Brixton Academy. The shows, taking place between October 6th and 9th, are part of an upcoming tour of Europe, starting in Ireland on September 30th. The support acts named include The Big Pink, Art Brut, Bombay Bicycle Club and Dinosaur Pile-Up.
- Kelly Rowland has shot down rumours of a Destiny’s Child reunion. In an interview with The Mirror, she explained: “Michelle is playing Roxie in Chicago, I’m working on my solo album and Beyoncé’s got her own things going on.” Fellow band member Michelle Williams recently claimed the group would return in 2010.
- P. Diddy and Atlantic Records have parted company. The I’ll Be Missing U rapper is reportedly close to agreeing a deal with Interscope Records, which would see them release upcoming album Last Train To Paris.
- Travis plan to write their new album whilst on tour in America. “We’re gonna hopefully write the whole thing on the bus,” lead singer Fran Healy said to Billboard. The series of concerts begins on October 8th in San Francisco, and is expected to produce a live album.
