Our first taste of the new album from The Mars Volta, titled Noctourniquet and due out on March 27th via Warner Bros. Records, is remarkably un-Mars Volta sounding. At least, for the first couple minutes, until they replace their bluesy shuffle for a more spooky and melodramatic conclusion. By the close of the tune, there is no question you are listening to a new Mars Volta track, and fans will by dying to hear the rest of the upcoming release.
