
Last week we gave you the first news of Craig Finn’s solo material outside of The Hold Steady by revealing that he would be releasing a 7″ single for Record Store Day’s Black Friday (November 25th). TwentyFourBit points out that his UK label Full Time Hobby (who put out The Hold Steady’s first three records in the UK, too) have put both the a-side “Honolulu Blues” and the b-side “Rented Room” up for free streaming on their Soundcloud.
Unsurprisingly both songs focus on Finn’s vocals and his knack for story telling, but his underrated guitar work also makes a fine showing here too. Check out both songs below.
