Yves Tumor is slick and suggestive on “Echolalia”, announces new album

Yves Tumor has followed up excellent recent single “God Is A Circle” with news of a new album arriving on March 17 called Praise A Lord Who Chews But Which Does Not Consume; (Or Simply, Hot Between Worlds).

They have also shared a devastatingly cool new single in “Echolalia”, which continues down a post-punk-ish route but is bent towards Tumor’s magnetic presence in unique ways. It finds Tumor embodying someone at their wit’s end with lust and desire, singing quietly over a rumbling rhythm and slithering guitars, inviting you to lean in closer so you can feel the heat of their breath on your ear. Tumor admits that their attraction makes them feel by turns uncomfortable and unnatural, but it’s thrilling to them. You can hear their willingness to follow this “magical” person who looks just like a god deeper into the darkness, wherever it will lead – and we’re certainly along for the ride.

Watch the video for “Echolalia” below or find it on streamers.
