It’s been a long – long – wait for fans of WESTSIDE BOOGIE (formerly simply Boogie), but it looks like that wait is finally just about up. After dropping his debut album, Everything’s for Sale, on Shady Records in January of 2019, fans have been rabidly anticipating the proper followup.
Despite dropping off “Outside” alongside Joey Bada$$ in 2020, no album materialized, with the same proving true in 2021 despite numerous teases. So. Here we finally are.
The first official single for his sophomore album has arrived: the gloriously gloating triumph that is “Aight”, with BOOGIE arriving with a perfect partner in crime, Shelley FKA DRAM. Naturally, this posessing the humanity of a BOOGIE joint, there are still plenty of insecurities on hand, but overall the song is immediately among the sunniest the artist has released to date, ready-made for our entrance into spring.
