The Walkmen are planning to head into the studio to record their new album in November and are currently warming up some of their new material on tour supporting Fleet Foxes. A performance of one of their new songs, “Your Southern Heart,” from the Santa Barbara Bowl has surfaced, and you can watch it below.
The song is more or less Hamilton Leithauser going solo on guitar, and there’s a lot of chatter in the crowd since this is the opening band and all, but I’m sure big fans of The Walkmen will enjoy this, at least to hear a sketch of a song and to see where it ends up when the band have had time to give it some studio polish.
