If you follow our recommended albums here on One Thirty BPM you’ll know that our first recommended album of 2011 was Smith Westerns’ lovable sophomore record Dye It Blonde. So imagine our delight when Stereogum premiered a short film called Die With Your Chin Up which has some behind the scenes footage and interviews with the band as they recorded the album.
The film, shot by Ray Concepcion, follows the progress of the band as they record in the studio then head back home to Chicago.
