In this short film, brought to us today from SPIN, Justin Vernon of Bon Iver (and many other projects) tells us the story of the live-in studio, now called “April Base” where he recorded Bon Iver, Bon Iver as well as other music. Vernon talks about how the Wisconsin lodge was found, converted, what it’s like to work and live there, how it affected the sound of the record and about the equipment within.
