There have always been the rumors about how Julian Casablancas doesn’t get along with the rest of The Strokes, and for the first half of the video for “Under Cover Of Darkness,” the thought that the whispers are true has to cross the viewer’s mind. But, alas, he joins the band and they perform a rock symphony. This is our reintroduction to The Strokes: the track rips, the lighting is awesome, the editing top-notch. All the stops have been pulled to make us believe this is going to be a great reestablishment of the superstars to their throne. I guess we’ll all find out soon enough if this is it.
