Those of you who have seen Sufjan Stevens on his current tour for The Age of Adz will have experienced the segment of the show that we at One Thirty BPM lovingly call “story time with Sufjan.” This is the part where Sufjan tells the story of the artist ‘Prophet’ Royal Robertson, who inspired the art and many of the lyrics from the album, while showing a slide show of photos of his house and work. Following story time Sufjan and his band play “Get Real Get Right,” which is dedicated to Royal Robertson.
The video for the song feautres much of Robertson’s art bustling by and dancing around the screen in stop motion. Check it out below.
