Stream: Jonny Greenwood debuts piece from forthcoming film score

Jonny Greenwood has come a long way from being that lanky, flannel-clad boy who accidentally wrote the punkish “chu-chug chu-chug” guitar riff on “Creep,” Radiohead’s first hit and possibly biggest song to date. Since then, he’s grown up and evolved into a world-class composer, having done the Iannis Xenakis and Krzysztof Penderecki-influenced film score for Paul Thomas Anderson’s There Will Be Blood.

Now, he’s got another film score lined up for a film adaptation of the pop culture-influenced, coming-of-age novel Norwegian Wood by Japanese author Haruki Murakami. He recently debuted “Doghouse” (a piece from the film score) in a live orchestra performance that was broadcast on BBC Radio 3. You can stream the song on BBC Radio 3’s website. There is an interview with Greenwood around the 26 minute-mark, and the song begins about 31 minutes into the broadcast.
