Earlier this month LA producer and artist Nosaj Thing – James H. Chung – announced his 5th LP Continua, out October 8 via LuckyMe, revealing a staggering assembly of guests, including serpentwithfeet, Panda Bear, Toro y Moi, Coby Sey, Julianna Barwick, Sam Gendel, Blonde Redhead’s Kazu Makino and Eyedress.
Another eye-popping name making an appearance is the ever-prolific Pink Siifu, fresh off of dropping an excellent mixtape with Real Bad Man. Over a clattery, claustrophobic beat that sounds like an empty being knocked on the cold pavement, Siifu drops a one-take stream of consciousness rap that glitches out near the end in disturbing fashion. Upon closer listens, more details start to arise: an ominous cymbal crash, creeping pianos and haunting violin courtesy of Amir Yaghmai.
