Though we have known that The Killers have been working on their fourth album since last year, Brandon Flowers took to Zane Lowe’s radio show this week to confirm suspicions of a 2012 album from the massively popular band. In regards to whether the album will come out this year, it’s not if but when. “It’s just whether it’s [released in] the summertime or the wintertime,” said Flowers.
In regards to the sound of the new album, Flowers said “It’s quite a bit louder than with my solo thing, so I’ve got to get used to that.” Flowers also admitted that they weren’t looking to “throw a curveball.”
Flowers concluded about the record: “I think the consensus within the band is to take those things that we’ve done well and really hone in on that.” So fans should rest easy that The Killers are looking to exploit their strengths, which should make for a crowd-pleasing affair.
