LA artist Miss Machina is back with a zesty new single “Babygirl”. This time, Miss Machina has surrounded herself with a production Dream Team: TUCKER (a Saturday Night Live music alum) and This NVR Happened (the production tandem of Rachel Blum and Elliot Polokoff). She also enlisted the help of hit songwriter Lauren Dyson (BTS, TWICE).
Miss Machina stands out from the pack because of her sly sense of humor and musical theater background. “My new songs deal with the pangs, bangs and fangs of a woman in her mid-twenties in the mid-2020s,” she says. “So many of us are carrying around unconscious trauma as women in Trump America with tiny computers in our hands. When I create from a playful place rather than leading with the intensity of my lived experience, I possess tremendous agency in what I have to say – even if it’s about something as trivial-seeming as men being my babygirl. And damn, that’s so real and so fucking funny!”
MM fans can expect a flurry of new singles in the next few months, all produced by TUCKER, Blum and Polokoff.
