Mary Bue enjoys an energetic romp on “Right Now”

Minneapolis-based artist Mary Bue gives us a real treat โ€“ and an aerobic workout โ€“ on her new single โ€œRight Nowโ€. The song reminds us that this moment is all weโ€™ve got, and Maryโ€™s thoroughly enjoying it.

Bue is currently wrapping up her ninth studio album called The Wildness of Living and Dying, produced by The Suburbsโ€™ Steve Price. Another teaser for the album is โ€œBedding Down With The Deerโ€ where Bue sings, โ€œI feel safer with the deer, safer than my own damn bed.โ€ But in my experience, you canโ€™t yell โ€œboo!โ€ (or Bue) in the presence of deer without spoiling their sleep.

Artists everywhere should take note of Bueโ€™s innovative approach to financing her creative work. All of her albums have been funded via Kickstarter, and sheโ€™s been awarded numerous artist residencies in New Mexico and Florida. Bue is also a meditation retreat guide who regularly takes people on spiritual jaunts through India.
