“Dreamy” and “atmospheric” are words you often hear describing music these days, but that’s not really a problem when you do those two qulities superbly, as Still Corners do. Their debut album, creatures of an Hour is due out on Sub Pop next month, and so far we’ve hard the lead single “Cuckoo.” Fans of the beautifully soft “Cuckoo” may be interested to hear that “Into The Trees” represents Still Corners’ louder side, which is really still quite quiet. With pounding timpani-like drums and layers of guitars it’s quite a storm for them, but the kind of storm that will rock you nicely to sleep.
