Last week told you about the newly announced Buddy Holly tribute album that is to feature many bands from the current indie A-list, such as My Morning Jacket and The Black Keys, and also some old hats like Paul McCartney and Patti Smith.
We’ve already given you a preview with The Black Keys’ contribution, and now for a second helping here’s Modest Mouse’s. They’ve taken on “That’ll Be The Day” which fits nicely into Isaac Brock’s cynical tones and general outlook on life. In fact it sounds like it could have come straight off of any of Modest Mouse’s last few releases. (But possibly not their next if Big Boi is going to shake things up in the MoMo camp as much as we hope.)
Listen to Modest Mouse’s cover of “That’ll Be The Day” below.
