In the midst of working on the follow up to Weathervanes Freelance Whales took some time out to have some fun and record a cover of one of their favourite bands, Devo. In the style of all good cover songs, they have changed “Girl U Want” quite drastically from the original to make it much more of a heartbreaking ballad.
The song will be released on Record Store Day as part of a split 7 inch with Foals, who are covering Swedish House Mafia’s “One” for their side.
