Leonard Cohen has not released an album of new material since 2004, but in his recent years’ worth of touring all his old classics he seems to have been rejuvenated. Columbia last week released a box set of 18-discs of his old material, but even more exciting for real fans is the fact that we will be getting a whole new album in 2012.
Reuters reports that at a press conference in Madrid, Cohen talked about his new album, which will have 10 tracks and be called Old Ideas. “I’ve played it for a few people, and they seem to like it,” Cohen admitted. In regards to whether he will tour on the back of Old Ideas he said “God willing… I never quite know whether there’s going to be a tour or not.”
